AFRY Management Consulting is seeking to hire an consultant to join our Energy sector team in Beijing. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team experiencing rapid growth and working on some of the most challenging issues in energy markets in China and globally.
The successful candidate will be engaged on a broad and continuously evolving range of complex projects providing insights and quantitative analysis on China’s and global energy markets, in support of AFRY’s global and domestic client base.

Reporting line: Principal, AFRY Management Consulting, China
Main responsibilities:
- Work within international, multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of energy market consultancy engagements
- Provide China electricity and gas market analysis in English and Chinese
- Support the development of AFRY’s core energy consulting offers for the Chinese energy sector
- Support client relationship management, new client identification and development, as well as business development activities
- Lead on collation and production of marketing presentations, materials and client proposals
- Support tendering efforts for energy projects, and wider AFRY priority projects in China and overseas
- Provide coordination and leadership for project stakeholders to facilitate project execution
- Engage in occasional bilingual Chinese-English translation of project, marketing and proposal materials

- Fluent written and spoken English and (Mandarin) Chinese, other regional language skills are a plus
- 2 to 5 years consulting experience in energy or power market with strong business sense to develop the storyline.
- Master’s degree in Business, Energy Economics, Finance or Engineering, or a Bachelor degree with than 3-4 years of relevant experience
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power Point
- Energy system modelling skills desirable
