Bay View Garden Centre is an independently owned garden centre overlooking Morecambe Bay in North Lancashire.
We are looking for a hardworking and passionate individual to join our team as a Retail Assistant. The successful candidate must be professional, friendly and motivated to provide an exceptional level of customer service. The position is permanent, full time, including every other weekend.
Key activities include:
- Serving customers at the retail tills and answering any queries
- Assisting with merchandising and checking deliveries
- Providing the best possible experience, quality and service for our customers
- Helping customers and answering customer service calls
- Ensure the store is clean, both on the shop floor and behind the scenes
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience of working in retail, ideally in a home and gift department
- Experienced in handling stock and merchandising retail displays
- Have a friendly personality with an ability to easily work with others in a team
- Be conscientious and accurate with numbers
- Be confident dealing with the public and comfortable knowing when to ask the team for help
- Be a good communicator
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
