Database administrator (hybrid)

Role purpose:
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Databases (MySQL, Oracle RDBMS, PostgreSQL, PROXY SQL, MS-SQL Server & MONGO DB)
- Liaising with developers, applications/operational staff, IT project managers and other technical staff
- Managing database security/integrity and backup procedures (e.g. a. If the backups have run successfully, check for replication errors, check for deferred transactions, check the streams capture processes status, DB tablespace size and available free space, f. replication system tables status, the DB alert log for errors, etc.)
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Working on shifts including weekends
- Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines as needed
Requirements:
- University/ College Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or relevant technology field
- A proven record of at least three (3) years working experience on administration on MySQL, ORACLE and/or PostgreSQL databases
- Knowledge of other database technologies as MS-SQL Server, ProxySQL or MongoDB will be considered as a plus
- Possess good IT background, with adequate knowledge in Unix/Linux Operating Systems
- Excellent command of the Greek & English language, both written and spoken
- Ability to work well with a diverse population
- Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
