The position
We are looking for a student assistant for community communication and data collection in the context of NGI (ngi.eu) located at the university in Herning.As a student assistant, you will be part of planning, facilitating and communicating the activities of NGI Search (ngisearch.eu), and you will also be given specific tasks on data collection during workshops, online meetings and onsite meetings.

Most of the tasks can be delivered in your own time, however data collection will be based on meeting schedules.
Your work tasks will include:
- Facilitation of meetings
- Data collection during meetings using audio and video as well note taking
- Editing of video and audio material to create community communication material such as podcasts and blog posts
In this position, you will engage with the FOSS community, and report to the principal investigator of NGI Search as a permanent contact person. You are positive, reliable and curious in your approach to work. We emphasize that you have a natural interest in FOSS and inclination towards working in and with the community. In addition to your regular work hours, you can at times vary your hours according to the need in the project to the extent that your studies allow it.
Professional and personal qualifications
We are looking for a student assistant who we can safely entrust the tasks with, and who:- Is fluent in English and interpret social nuances
- Has worked with the FOSS community in some form or another
- Has some basic video and audio editing skills
Workplace
The workplace is room 3122, BTECH, Birk Centerpark 15, 7400 HerningTerms of employment and salary
You are employed as an hourly paid student assistant with salary and other terms of employment in accordance with the organizational agreement between the Ministry of Finance and HK/Stat. The employment covers up to an average of 8 hours weekly and your contract starts from 14th of July 2023.Questions
